Summer in January??
As some of you may have heard, last Saturday, January 6th was a record-setting day all over New England. The temperature, no joke, reached 71 degrees in Hartford (it actually got up to 75 on our porch, as the first picture shows). It was the warmest January 6th EVER in CT and shattered the previous record by at least 15 degrees. People didn't know what to do with themselves--they were running around in shorts and t-shirts that they had to dig out of winter storage.
We, of course, couldn't let the day go by without being outside at some point, so we hit a local park. It was a mob scene. At one point, I counted 50 kids. It was crazy. But we had fun, and so did the kids!

And today, you ask? Today it's snowing. Ahhhh, back to reality.
The other fun thing we did last weekend had to do, of course, with football, since it's playoff season and several local teams are/were involved. Check out our little Patriots football player cookies!

Very nice photos. Is the cookie on the left anatomically correct?
Dirty Ol' Grandpa John
Apparently Grandpa John and I have the same opinion about said cookie! I was about to post a similar comment!
We are having similar weather, as well...80 degrees yesterday, and projected high/low of 45/28 tomorrow!
Darn global warming!
By the way, there's been talk about who Sonja looks like, and I vote for...Daddy! Check out the pic where he's holding her (and the one on the couch where they're looking at each other, from a previous post)!
